The Czech Republic will host the Festival of Contemporary Russian Cinema
The Festival of Contemporary Russian Cinema “New Russian Film” will be held in five cities of the Czech Republic in September and October 2019. Nikolay Bryakin, Press Secretary of the Russian Embassy in the Czech Republic, announced this.
“The Festival will be held in five cities – Prague, Ostrava, Pilsen, Brno and Zlin,” he said. – This will be the Second Season of the Festival. Last year the Festival was held with great success in Czechia for the first time”.
Nikolay Bryakin recalled that then the Festival was held under the patronage of the Czech President Milos Zeman.
The Festival opens on September 27 and will last until October 20. The public will see more than 20 films. The films will be demonstrated with the original soundtrack and Czech subtitles.
The initiator of the Festival, like last year, was the Russian Embassy in the Czech Republic. The Festival will be held with the support of the Federal Agency for CIS Affairs, Compatriots Living Abroad and International Humanitarian Cooperation (‘Rossotrudnichestvo’).
