Premiere of the opera-oratorio “The Chronicles of Alexander Nevsky” in Vladimir
On August 22, Vladimir town will host the premiere of the opera-oratorio “The Chronicles of Alexander Nevsky”, written specially for the 800th anniversary of the holy noble prince by composer Alexander Tchaikovsky. The opera-oratorio will be performed by the New Russia Orchestra conducted by Yuri Bashmet.
The celebration of the 800th anniversary of the holy noble prince Alexander Nevsky is a significant event for Vladimir town, where the great commander reigned in 1252-1263.
The decree on the celebration of the 800th anniversary of the birth of the holy noble prince Alexander Nevsky was signed by Russian President Vladimir Putin in 2014.
