Cultural initiatives web platform brings together over 230 digital projects

The Russian Cultural Foundation, in cooperation with the St. Petersburg International Cultural Forum, has launched an online platform on cultural initiatives named “Culture Online”.

According to the platform press service, the resource has united over 230 digital cultural projects: mobile applications, online performances, virtual exhibitions, concert broadcasts, podcasts, blogs about culture and much more. Most of the initiatives are presented personally by their authors, who give short interviews on the creation of their projects during the pandemic.

The platform has already presented projects of the State Museum of Fine Arts named after A. S. Pushkin, the Russian Museum, the St. Petersburg State Academic Philharmonic named after D. D. Shostakovich, the MusicAeterna collective led by Teodor Currentzis. “In the future, the base of projects presented on the Culture Online platform will be regularly updated: anyone can tell about an interesting cultural online project by filling out a short form on the website,” the organizers announced.

The Honored Artist of the USSR, conductor Yuri Bashmet noted that the new Culture Online platform opened the way for new creative digital projects of already famous or young artists by gathering their achievements on one online platform.
