The Ministry of Culture held a meeting with the leaders of film making industry

The Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation Olga Lyubimova held a working meeting with representatives of Russian film companies and film studios in the video conference format.

The participants discussed, in particular, the prospects for release of Russian and foreign films in the current situation. The Minister emphasized the importance of interaction between all interested parties – Russian film distributors and professional community.

In turn, representatives of the film industry noticed that many films already have release dates, and it is important to solve the problem with the releases of these films, to coordinate screenings.

At the meeting, the experts also raised issues of promoting Russian cinema abroad, state support for cinematography in the Russian Federation, preventive measures and sanitary and epidemiological safety requirements at the start of theatrical screening organizations, as well as the return to filming overall.

As a result of the event, the Minister of Culture made a decision to send a request to the Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin to resume the filming process in the capital as soon as possible.
