The Day of Artist and Author was held in Moscow. Nikita Mikhalkov handed Emir Kusturica an honorary award of RAO and RUR

The Intellectual Property Days in Russia and the VIII International Forum “Intellectual Property – XXI Century” culminated in a gala evening, which took place at President-Hotel (Moscow) on April 24, 2015. The event dedicated to the Day of Artist and Author, the Year of Literature in Russia and the70th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War gathered together famous artists and experts in the field of copyright protection.

Prominent film director Nikita Mikhalkov, the chairman of the Union of Cinematographers of the Russian Federation, handed Emir Kusturica a prize and an honorary diploma of RAO and RUR. Emir Kusturica said: “I am happy that I am with you today. Authors are people of art; they are worthy and intelligent people. I think that protecting their intellectual property is important.”
