RUR concluded an agreement with SAWP (Poland)

RUR concluded a bilateral agreement with the Polish Musical Performing Artists’ Society (SAWP). The agreement will help to protect the rights of performers in the sphere of private copying and provide effective international management of such rights.

Cooperation with the Polish colleagues will allow to carry out collecting of remuneration for private copying of phonograms in favor of the Russian right-holders in the territory of Poland and, accordingly, in favor of the Polish performers in Russia.

SAWP was established by the Polish performers in 1994. The society collects, distributes and pays remuneration due to the performers for the use of their works. Today SAWP represents more than 2000 artists. The society is a member of SCAPR and AEPO-ARTIS.
